As you may know our site was attacked about three months ago. It was covered in this thread and this one.

I've been meaning to share with you what I learned, but never got around to it. Today, acorndomains is under attack, their admin has contacted me and we're chatting privately about this.

I thought it's about time I put this post together.

First, for those of you who don't know what a Distributed Denial of Service attack is - it's very simple: when ...

The good news here is I'm experiencing enough strange weeks they are becoming the norm. The short of it this week is not much got done.

I'm regrouping on my marketing strategy once again. At this point it's time to reevaluate what I'm doing and decide on a course of action.

  4. The Week That Wasn't

It's a bit strange but I'm having a hard time thinking of anything significant I've accomplished this week!

I did get the new issue of the ezine I started up and I started testing the sales page against a new version. One problem with this test is I'll have to figure some way to adjust for members who come to log in. However they should only be counted once so it shouldn't be too long before they are rendered statistically insignificant.

Had a couple of things happen ...

  5. Where'd that arm go?

Seems like I've been on a quoting jag lately. Here goes another one:

"I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man with no feet."

Side note: I read where that saying was based on a true story.

Last week I was crying because I felt like the proverbial "one-armed paperhanger". Now I'm wondering where my other arm went.

    Lots going on this week.

Finally finished a "massive" update of the site. I made quite ...
