    Hello All!

    Hi everybody!

I am a total noob i'm afraid and I would like to get rich quick over night. No sorry, just kidding. I would like to learn anything new about the business of internet marketing. I have a full time job working in the communications industry, I used to work for myself and would like to do so again one day. It probaly won't ever happen but i would still like to keep my hand in.

I know some stuff about techie stuff, some programming and web design.

Desperately looking for a starting point, have a little bit of capital to play with and not afraid to lose it.

Hope I don't annoy anyone too much and thanks for having me.

Balls! I forgot to say my first question is; from personal experience what would you rate as some good reading material on the subject? There is a lot of junk out there and it would be great to get some recommendations.
    Thanks

Why just internet marketing? Hardly anything I do for my portfolio can be called internet marketing and it works OK for me. There seems to be this impression around that internet marketing is the only way of making money online. It's perpetuated by people who, suprise, surprise, sell internet marketing courses and ebooks

Good reading material? Some of the members here like ChristopherAvell, hooperman and Michelle have blogs, free pdfs etc., that you can gain a lot from. Beware false information from the likes of Flippa who have an agenda that's not necessarily aligned with your own.

In your attempt to avoid losing it, start a thread in the due diligence section on any prospective buy you're considering and we'll chip in with some opinions on it.
