I was recently thinking about buying this guide, but I'm not sure if its worth $100 dollar price tag. Have anyone ever checked out this guide? Is it any good? One of my biggest concern is paying for the guide and finding out techniques for free. One thing that caught my eye was the terms and agreements printable sheets.
What you need is a book that tells you how to value web businesses and that is totally up to date. You also need knowledge of black hat techniques to protect yourself. In my mind, that means a couple of different books. This forum has great due diligence advice and so I would read that. Most of the web companies sell for 1-3 times earnings. Look for something that ranks well in yahoo, but not Google. Or, look for something that is on the fourth or fifth page of Googel. Then, you can probably do some work to it and build it into something.

I don't believe you need knowledge of blackhat SEO necessarily, but I do agree that sites getting most of their traffic from Google are higher risk as Google traffic can evaporate in an algorithm change.
