Some of these search strings are pure gold. If I had a blog I'd definitely steal them for a killer post! Full attribution back to here though, of course.

The only problem I have now with buying/building/selling sites is that when I search for information online, I'm more interested in their monetization methods and whether or not I could buy it myself and increase revenue from other sources. It's gotten to the point where I forget the reason I was searching for that site in the first place.

Another method I use is to look at my RSS subscriptions. There are blogs in my list that haven't posted for 6+ months. I'm already a reader so I know them and their audience (because I'm part of it) and if they are jaded or burnt out from blogging I can usually get a good deal on it and go in with a full plan of how to increase traffic, conversions and revenue. I've found and flipped some good 'uns this way.

My guess is that a lot of bloggers get jaded because they start under the promise of quick wealth and then discover that there isn't a dependable get rich quick plan. The main thing that bothers me with blogs is the requirement to post regularly. But if you've managed to flip some in the past for amounts that cover your effort, then good for you. I guess the key is knowing what you're doing LOL

I wouldn't mind buying a blog that has content that doesn't age, but most blogs I've seen seem to mostly cover passing fads, or include too much of the author.
