eBook idea, how to market

Hi all,

Ive got a pretty good idea for an ebook. Its aimed at webmasters.

Im just wondering whats the best way to go about marketing eBooks and making money off them.

Obviously having a site and selling it through there, but im not so great at SEO work and getting clicks through. Normally I'd hire someone to do this. no budget in this case.

Is a good way to have it on some affiliate program site? That way people can start adding it to sell and thats instant exposure?
What about posting about it on forums? I think direct marketing about something like that may get nowhere, just banned from the forum

If you're after some quick sales you can list it on the forums, DP mainly. But otherwise clickbank is probably best for ebooks, also paydotcom.
First you might want to check if something like that exists already though. Search the forums, CB and ebook sites for similar titles.

If you want to sell a bunch of them you're probably going to need to get some deals going with the IM gurus who push this stuff to their inflated mailing lists of get rick quick suckers.

Honestly, for information on e-books I find warriorforum to be the place that has the most information.

Actually I think im going to have to shelve this idea. But I have other ebook ideas I will use this thoughts for.

The idea was for an ebook that provides tax strucuturing advice for ecommerce. More so on ideas for new web business owners and those starting up new ideas. Like setting up off shore and moving things offshore to save a ton of money on tax.

But this would only be for sites I guess earning high amounts, like excess of 10K a month. Unfortunately there probably isnt much of a market for selling this kind of book. And then once u get into sites making 100K a month who could really have this advice, they probably have their own advisors already, and wouldnt be interested in some ebook for ideas.

IM = Internet Marketing.

Ironically, there are a lot of ebooks around on how to make money from ebooks

It's a whole set of skills you need to acquite to get successful in selling your own ebook. There's also the option of a Joint Venture.

Actually at the moment im just interestd in a free site or ebook that will tell me how to SEO my site!! Are there any good comprehensive, but not too long resources out there that anyone know of?
