We really need more information to be able to come to an opinion. Most people will factor how much money the site makes (and for how long it's been like that), what the costs are, what's involved in running the site etc. Can you get that info?
this is all i have for now will see what they come back to me with running 18 months selling for £1,200
Sales revenue: £54,000 Net profit: £22,000
We are selling our unique, nationwide and completely non sexual escort agency - www.just4dates.co.uk. It is unique and there are only a handful of completely non-sexual agencies in the whole of the UK. We currently have 69 members of staff on the website (increasing weekly), all with their own profiles, covering between them, most of the UK. We pride ourselves on the fact that our business is completely non sexual and offers what no other escort agency offers, simply companionship to both men and women! We currently have a very high ranking position both in Google and Yahoo (we are currently ranking in positions 1 - 4). The business has been operating for 18 months and we have had over 27000 visitors to the site already. With a high volume of traffic on the site, there is also the opportunity to secure additional funding from outside advertisers. The business is trading and making a profit. We will include training on how to upload profiles, manage the website, recruit staff and promote the agency. The new owner will have complete ownership of the website, profiles for all the escorts (all of whom will stay with the company upon new ownership as long as it remains non- sexual!) complete ownership of the domain name www.just4dates.co.uk and six months free hosting.
I am selling the business to fulfil a lifelong dream to go travelling. I have invested a lot of time, energy and money into building up this successful business. The business needs someone who can put time, effort and energy into it to utilize the hard work that has already been done. There is a steady stream of emails coming in every day and the business has the potential to be a great money earner for the right person. The hard work has been done – the business is established and ranked highly on search engines, there are many visitors to the site, escorts are recruited with new ones every week, there are established clients and the business has been advertised (including a recent article in a woman’s magazine).
Please note that the turnover figures provided are predicted figures based on four new escorts being added a week (currently happening) & four dates of 2/3 hours a week (a realistic target with correct advertising).
Is the owner saying that the site isn't currently making those figures for revenue and profit?
The site doesn't have many links, so it would be interesting to know how the site gets all its traffic. There is a comment in here that doesn't exactly compliment just4dates:
In fact, you can read more comments about this site here. This site falls under the category of rubbish advertising site rather than outright scam. It's better to waste £17 there rather than £300 on Escortopia, but it'll still be a waste of money.
I'd pass on this one.

I think am losing the will to live I have been looking all day and nothing in my price range seems any good
is there someone who will find them for you without charging over the top
no bout 5 months and 1 day now
juliefluke, it's not easy finding good online business opportunities. Going through eBay is a colossal waste as there's so much noise. Flippa is a bit better, but still takes an enormous amount of time. I'm not looking to buy a new business, but when I was on the prowl, I'd allow up to 200 hours of searching per business bought.
Where are you actually looking, how are you going about it and what's your budget?
Hi I have a budget of around a thousand not being experienced i would not want to risk losing more than this either looking at it worst case
I have been looking through search engine listings and all the sites in your buying guide its slightly confusing as there all in dollars and mostly american sites
the problem Ihave is not time for looking but lack of knowledge but am only gonna get that by looking asking
Iam still tempted by the above metioned site I dont mind putting in the work to fix it as long as i can work out how too
A couple of tips:
1. Get used to working in dollars. I'm UK based too but hardly ever think of prices or earnings or website value in sterling.
2. If you've got $1,500 to spend a rough rule of thumb is that any site claiming to be making over $150 a month is either out of your budget, full of BS or has some major flaw.
#2 is going to speed up your searching considerably as you can now exclude a large swathe of sites very quickly
Excellent idea to start with only that amount you can afford to lose if it doesn't work out.not being experienced i would not want to risk losing more than this either looking at it worst case
