Any idea why bidding went so high?

    pluzit.com at Flippa

It's a new site, no traffic, no earnings. Any idea why it sold for $10K within 24 hours of listing?

I've just looked and it's got a massive link profile. That's the only thing I can think of. I'm not a web techie, and I don't really get button thingies, so apart from the links I can't really see the value in The Product. The domain was reg'd 2007 but there's no record in archive.org.

Hmm, OK I hadn't checked the backlinks. Looking at them now, though, they do seem a lot but seem to come from a few sitewides on sites with lots of pages rather than from a lot of different websites.

I am still surprised at the price given that the huge number of links hasn't translated into particularly high page rank.

It would be interesting to know if this does change hands. Maybe someone like flipfilter should keep track of which of these apparent sales in Flippa don't actually end up with a new owner. That would be useful information for some buyers
