    EU Directive on Consumer Rights changing on 13 June 2014

    If anyone has time to go through it and dig out the salient points, then please share with us.

    I guess this will have some implications for those of us with European businesses. Possibly it also affects how US businesses can sell in Europe?

    The item which interested me most was this:

    ...a prohibition to use pre-ticked boxes on websites for charging extra payments in addition to the remuneration for the trader's main contractual obligation.
    I for one won't be sorry to see these being made illegal. It's just another form of opt-out, which is already illegal, and which I've spoken out against for a long time.
