Oh my, I can't imagine anything worse. It's bad enough keeping down the blam (blog spam), even with Akismet's terrific help. And forums are even bigger spam magnets. I wonder how long such a forum would last before it drowned in a deluge of spam.

Oh yes they do need to register - but the forum can pull their details from their social accounts, rather than having them filling in forms.
