I like Andy's points, but going into that granularity on operations is not economical unless we're talking big money at stake which you have now said is not the case.

For the smaller amounts then it's either there's enough trust to take the plunge... or there isn't.

I've never liked 51/49 arrangements personally. There's an inherent statement of mistrust in there that doesn't bode well. If I trust you to 49% then I'd prefer we were equal partners at 50-50. For large companies with many shareholders I can see the sense in 51% over 50%.
