Has anyone tried the domainerincome.com beta?

This site and their press release

    They say
Domainer Income helps domain name investors evaluate, buy, sell and monetize domain names.

Domainer Income provides key metrics for the millions of domain names it tracks each day, as well as extensive domain name portfolio management tools, providing domain name investors with a complete solution for investing in, and managing, their domains.

Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, Domainer Income is operated by privately held company, Kikabink International Pty Ltd.

    Anyone tried it yet?

Good timing, since the service I use to find expiring domain names (dropday.com) seems to be dead as of yesterday. I'll sign up and report back.

OK, I signed up for a free account to test it out, and here's what I found:

    1. The expired domain tool isn't able to filter out sites with fake pagerank, none of the domains listed had any Yahoo! backlinks, and there is no way to see site details on a single page. It falls short of other services I have used in this area.

    2. The list of domain sales for the last week and historical database were pretty cool, but just like with the expired domains, there is no way to see the domain details, so it's hard to see why the more generic domains sold for the price that they did (did it have PR, traffic, backlinks, etc.?).

    3. The domain management tools were not available to review for free, and I wasn't impressed with what I did see in the free account, so I didn't feel like it was worth paying $97 to try it for a month. Maybe that is where they focused so my quick review is selling them short, but I don't think I need a tool to manage my domains, since I already have a simple tool for this that I made myself.

The developer of domainerincome is a very experienced domainer/developer himself. It's a good service.

I'm a free member, but not buying enough to make it worth the price now. Still the free forum search feature for new listings can be a time saver. Can't comment on how it compares to Estibot, which is a very good service as well. The Estibot appraisal tool is as good as anything at parsing good domains from bad. The domainerincome guy is a solid domainer, so I would imagine his tool is valuable for his needs.

Hi guys, great to see some of you using Domainer Income. We released it in beta a couple of months ago and certainly welcome your feedback about how the tool is working for you and how we can make it even better.

Let me clarify some of the issues raised here so you get a better idea of Domainer Income's features.

Firstly, we offer two types of membership. The Free membership includes access to the expired domain database, forum sales, historical sales figures, parking trends data and various other things, whilst the Professional membership includes all these plus access to domains for sale in the aftermarkets, auctions, insider trends data, an extensive domain portfolio management toolset and more.

You can't really judge the Pro membership without signing up as a member, but the good news is that we'll shortly be giving all (current and future) free members a 7 day free trial, so you'll get a better understanding then.

We're pretty confident that Domainer Income has the biggest database of domains for sale in the aftermarkets, domains being auctioned, expired domains, domains for sale in forums, etc. Plus the biggest database with the range of analytics we offer.

As I type this email, our markets page (available to Pro members) has more than 1.057 Million domains listed, with analytics and statistics you won't find anywhere else. Dropday has 578,000 (about 1/2 of what we have). That figure EXCLUDES our expired domains and ccTLD drops. It's also the weekend, so we would normally have a lot more.

When it comes to expired Domains, we have a dedicated system that finds expired domains and checks them on a daily basis. We display all kinds of analytics for these - all available in the free membership.

benitez17 mentioned that the system "isn't able to filter out sites with fake pagerank". Actually, we do filter out fake PR, however it's painfully difficult and not an exact science (as any experienced domainer will tell you). The good news is that we have revised our fake PR checker and are about to deploy it into production. This will substantially increase its accuracy.

Let me know if I can clarify anything else about the system.

    Kind regards,

Hi Simon, and welcome to experienced-people.net

It sounds very good. I'll take you up on the 7 day free trial (though I'm not into domaining myself).

I'm curious, how does one detect fake PR?

Simon, no offense meant. I checked on about half a dozen domains listed with PR, and they were all fake. I know it's not an easy task, but in my experience other services do a better job.

I look forward to taking advantage of your free 7 day trial and seeing your new checker in production.

    Hi Clinton,

Thanks for your welcome message. Detecting fake PR is quite complex. For example, a PR check in your browser will give you different results depending on where you are on the planet (the G datacenter you query). Unfortunately its not as easy as just looking it up. Given the interest in this thread, we may do a video on PR and explain it in more detail.

benitex17: If you have any specific issues, feel free to log a support ticket or contact me directly. It would be good to know who you are, so we can work out any specific issues you may be experiencing.

We have a very active development cycle, so if there is a feature you would like to see, feel free to drop me a line.

    Kind regards,
