    The article doesn't help much as it doesn't explain each method enough for a beginner to use it.

    I don't think that was the purpose of the article. It was just to demonstrate that there are a lot of ways of clearing a profit. To cover each in some detail would take several volumes of hard bound text.

    Found the idea of "flipping" websites interesting - though we come back to the usual chestnut of being able to sell them for a reasonable price. However, may now try listing a site at Sitepoint, just to see what interest it creates.

    Flipping is fine. Although, my strategy is more of a "buy and hold" type. I'd like to acquire a few more sites with revenue and simply hold onto them. I would start selling when the time to manage them exceeded a certain threshold. Then I would reinvest the profits in more expensive sites with greater revenues.
