Some of the best resources for making money online

I almost hesitate to post this thread as it could attract SPAM. A note to anyone who is tempted to link to their own, brand new "make money online" site - please read the forum rules first. It would be a shame to type up your post only to find it has been deleted. (For example, don't link to a long sales letter page. I'm looking for top quality information posted openly and not behind a give-me-your-email-address-first squeeze page)

I'm trying to collect a resource of the best places to go online to learn how to make money on the internet.

Some are well known. Among bloggers there are probably pretty familiar.
    Problogger
    John Chow
    Shoemoney

I like Dosh Dosh's useful guide. My own 101 ways is less than a guide and more a motivator and idea generator. I include it as it's #1 in Google UK for the term.

Who are the big names in this business? Your suggestions please.

I enjoy the case studies Scott puts up on www.selfmademinds.com. Case studies are one of my favorite learning tools, yet they are so rare.

    Nice site...

Personally I don't consider John Chow to be a make money site, it's more of a what did I have for lunch/what company wants to pay me for a review site nowadays.

Venture Voice - podcast, interviews successful entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs Journey - Aussie blogger Yaro Starak.
Internet Business Mastery isn't bad - I don't subscribe to their membership site but enjoy their podcast from time to time.

I think that all of the main publicity pimps rely not on what they had for lunch but how much they ate. "See how much I earn." "See my Adsense check." "See how clever I am." And they rely on maintaining that impression to retain their "guru" status and get people following them / talking about them / reading their advice. A large part of those earnings may be BS, we'll never know what the real picture on out-goings is and what their net profit is as the accounts are not published online. Talk audited accounts and they suddenly get very publicity shy.

I would bet a fat wallet that there are several people on these forums who make sh*tloads more money than those freak shows! Heck, even I possibly do.

Thanks for the links. Some good ones there. I hear what you're saying, tke71709 and 3Six. Points noted. I agree in part.

I personally like Yaro Starak's style and that's not just because he's an Aussie like Luke

Moneysavingexpert may be a useful read for some.

This is an old thread, but I thought I'd revive it because today MoneySavingExpert got sold for £87 million.
I didn't see it listed in Flippa so it must have sold somewhere else.

Well done to Martin, he deserves it!

I found this guy's site had some quite useful information on there: http://www.viperchill.com/hey/ in fact I need to go back and do some more reading on there but it's late now so I'll dip into it tomorrow.

I'm a fan of Glenn's from ViperChill...he puts out some pretty strong content and blog posts. Pretty amazing coming from such a young guy.

We're fans of the guys from the Lifestyle Business Podcast. They also run the TropicalMBA blog. These guys are legit...their main business consists of physical products sourced from China and sold via their websites in the US, but they've since expanded a bit to more "online" models as well. We've hung out with them a few times both in the Philippines and in Bali. One of the biggest takeaways we've had from them is the concept of an offshore Intern. They've hired a bunch of youngish guys/gals from abroad and moved them to the Philippines/Indonesia to help them grow out their business.

I'm not doing it justice explaining it here, but we were simply amazed at the quality of the Interns they had...we decided to try it out ourselves. Around 4 months ago we brought our first Intern out from the US to live with us here in the Philippines and it's been amazingly valuable for both him and for us. I really think this concept is one of those "game-changing" ideas you don't seen very often and I'm an enthusiastic supporter. Anyway, if you're into podcasts, definitely give theirs a listen.

That would be my ideal job - writing for MSE and getting well paid for it Imagine - being able to sell it a few years later for £87 million!!
As you say Clinton, he has done an awful lot for consumers and the forums are excellent sources of info and advice on best deals and a million other things.
