According to Barry Schwartz there's talk around of a PR update today. Anyone seen any signs of this?
Disclaimer: PR is just a pretty green line on an irrelevant toolbar.
Nothing changed on my few sites.
I'm not seeing any changes either. It's still as bizarre as ever with my main site as a PR2 and some of my also-rans at PR4. It makes no sense to me.
Google Disclaimer. Your PR score, as displayed in an attractive green on your irrelevant toolbar may or not be accurate, up to date, real or indeed relevant. We may or may not have changed it to be something entirely different from what you have always failed to understand as PR and that's fine cos it's ours and we can do what we want with it anyway. We're sorry we ever released it publically and we reserve the right to misdirect, mislead, obfuscate and generally confuse you as to the real meaning of PR and what it does, let alone it's actual value. Eventually we'll quietly remove it from the tool bar without any fuss and most certainly without an explanation, and then we'll pretend it never existed..
I had one site go up monday, 0 to 1.
I've not noticed any changes at mind end, but I pay hardly any attention to page rank nowadays - there are some excellent and well ranking sites out there that have PR's of 4 (normally considered quite low).
My sms sending page is now a pr4, which is password protected and never been linked to. I am wondering if they are using the toolbar to show you your most active pages? It is one of the pages I use most.
I believe it was a very minor page rank update - I noticed that a handful of my sites / parked domains had their page rank refreshed. No proper comprehensive update since April.
