Are you offering Keith? Sounds like a cracking idea to me - but are there not already similar services around? But adding on the ability to rebuild original site as a starting point would be a cracking idea

Nice one, Keith, trust you to think along those lines!
I'd finance something like that.

No need to finance.

I am just a customer, no other relation to the site, does everything you just mentioned (and I can't be the only customer, who else is bidding against me on TDNAM??)

Apparently the new version of Warrick isn't too far away.
UPDATE
As of Dec 12, 2011, Justin is still making progress on Warrick. I hope it will be available in a few weeks. I will keep updating this blog post when I know more.
Dec 20, 2011: Justin has given me a beta version of Warrick which I am testing. I hope to make this version available as soon as some documentation is available. Unfortunately, this beta version will require some technical knowledge of how to install Perl libraries and run the tool from the command line. We plan to make Warrick run automatically from our website in the future.

Thanks, grynge.
BTW, that dropday.com site seems really useful, is nobody using it?

Warrick BETA 2.0 is now released http://ws-dl.blogspot.com/2012/01/20...k-20-beta.html , unix only.
If anyone tests it let us know how the new version goes, also as there is no windows version if anyone could install this on a hosting account (if that would work?) and could let me have access for a small fee please let me know, looking forward to testing it out.
Testing it now will let you know how it goes shortly.

Ok Warrick v2 works great apart from 1 aspect, if the pages aren't found in the archive.org you get the page name but a 404 error message from archive.org
Didn't take long to install, setting the correct permissions for the script caused a few errors but once I had that sorted everything was plain sailing.
