I've just made a post in the VIP lounge (for those who have a large enough post count to access it) of a good site that's possibly going cheap purely because of some (temporary?) publicity problems/reputational damage from the internet gossip mill.

This thread is to solicit your opinion on the extent to which site reputation influences your buying decision and valuation. Should the site be otherwise sound, with a large number of inlinks, quality content etc., would you be willing to take it on (at a much lower than usual market price) and repair its reputational damage? How would that affect your valuation?
