Anyone using quora.com?
http://www.quora.com - it's got about 4 million pages now indexed in Goog.
I see mention of it everywhere nowadays and places like the BBC are hyping it like they used to do with Twitter (and FB before that).
Anyone here using it? Is it worth getting familiar with? To what purpose - sales/contacts/building reputation/something else?

well, any site which requires me to set up an account before I really know in practice what it does is less likely to get me as a member...

Yes, bit idiotic of them. Even more stupid when you consider that a site: search in Google does let you in (see my second link).

looks like a ross between twitter / yahoo answers / forums...
not sure that I want that - but many might...

I did, yes. Big names there, movers & shakers, gurus, influencers. But, most importantly, some very top notch material.
