What do we want here different to Sitepoint?

I'm not going to do any Sitepoint bashing here though I'm sorely tempted to.

But let's set out what we'd like to see different

SP critical threads not being deleted is, probably, a given provided the thread doesn't get abusive or anything.

My top preference would be for not having all that idioctic post spam - people building up a post count without contributing anything useful.

What would you prefer to see?

I agree about the post spam. I'll keep it clean here. I've got the time to do the moderation and, unlike SP's mods, have a good incentive - it's my own site!

If the mod work gets too much I've had several offers of help from people including you whose offers I hope to take up in due course and when things get busy enough.

I just want a higher level of discussion.

I can only take so many people asking how they can sell their 2 month old scraper blog for a million dollars.

Saw but competitions like that often bring out the fluffers, for people who are intelligent and do well in this field, $200 is nice but at the end of the day isn't going to make a difference in our lives. Maybe I get a somewhat nicer dinner for me and my wife than normal.

For WebMasterSEOGuruIndia, that's a nice chunk of change to take a shot at.

I promise, WebMasterSEOGuruIndia will get chucked out before he can tell us his full name

I hope that refers to a specific person and not a national stereotype. I've had some excellent Indian webmasters participate on my business forum. There's one 14 / 15 year old guy who would put many older webmasters to shame.

The focus in the name is on SEOguru rather than the last bit.

I'm glad my countrymen are participating on your forum and they're welcome here too but I'll be the first to admit some of them account for a lot of "spam" on the net - from low quality, pointless forum posts to "me too" blog comments.

I get some fantastic work from people in India. My best writer is a Mumbai bloke.
