I have a fair idea of the sector, but I agree that it's a crap description they've put together for the Flippa auction.

When pitching to people who may be completely unfamiliar with your business you need to describe clearly and without jargon what it is your business or software does. Using terms like SIS (Student Information System) and SIF (Systems Interoperability Framework) and assuming everybody understands them isn't smart.

Anyway, who the heck told them that Flippa is a good place for assets like these?! What complete nutters! Flippa is the last place you'd go to target companies providing services and bespoke solutions to the education sector.

I've seen a few like this.

Probably a classic example of why engineers shouldn't be let lose on Flippa!

I'm stiill trying to work out what you get if you buy this - and what you get if you also buy the "separately sold" site. As far as I can see, that's how to get a copy of the software - and without any resale rights, even if you can work out what it is doing.

The smart solution - if you want this sort of thing, arrange for the vendor to be kidnapped and enslaved!

It is confusing. We're talking to the seller to get it clarified - will probably result in the two listings being consolidated ...

    Only your point Clinton.
Everyone else is talking about the complexity and overall lack of clarity on the listing. Regardless of where it gets listed, the copy needs work.

    Ah, you've got it now

It seemed your solution was merging the two auctions ....which didn't address the complete rewording required.
