Travis, since you spoke to Ryan directly, I'd be interested to see what he has to say about the comments in this thread, or see if see is willing to respond to them here. Any chance of that happening?

Ryan is aware of this thread. If we had enough members here willing to be persuaded of how much money there is to be made and who need someone to hold their hand through it, he'd have already posted in here![]()
You do know I just created an ebook on building and selling niche blogs that I'm actually asking money for right?
3Six I have a lot of respect for you, Clinton, Benitez17 and Hooperman; you are all keen to see that people are not mislead and I join you in that regard with great enthusiasm! I have talked here before about how I have sold sites as one of the ways to earn money from home instead of working a job and leaving my children in child care. I have enjoyed testing the site selling model and have helped others earn some pocket money by showing them how to do it too. Selling sites that are a piece a of junk in the process is not my style...I think you know that. I have the knowledge and experience to build sites out on solid foundations, these can be sold immediately for cash flow or kept and developed to the established stage....then list them at Flippa and fill that under-served market.
Is it possible to attract a big following in terms of 'teaching site flipping' when I say what I've experienced rather than what people want to hear? It's not hands free (I didn't put a man in a hard hat pushing a wheelbarrow on the ecover for nothing!) I won't answer the hard questions without including the gory details. From memory, between crunching chips, etycoon was asked how buyers can tell if the traffic stats etc are true or not on sites for sale. The reply was something along the lines of Flippa verify all that so you don't need to worry.I feel for those who hear that and go blindly trusting the stats and buy up a site.
I don't necessarily think that everyone trying to teach people how to buy and sell websites is really going out of their way to mislead, it could just be a lack of knowledge in certain aspects...... Problem is that one i not dotted in this game, especially buying, can lead to very expensive mistakes.
I don't get to wear the angel wings and a halo though because I'm happily charging for the exchange of my hard earned knowledge but rest assured I'm not peddling BS and if I do, I expect you guys to come and get me!
Travis I think it's wonderful that you are so loyal to the business of Internet Marketing and that you don't despise us who charge for the exchange of our knowledge.
Michelle, we've exchanged a few emails on the issue of site flipping. As you know, I encourage site flippers to register and join the discussion. There's Flippa in this thread with a signature link and a site flipper with two signature links. Siteflippers basing their material on facts rather than fiction should have no problem defending their "product".
