    I am a newbie

Hey folks, my name is Andrew and I joined this forum because it seems like one the few sane places devoted to internet marketing. I have read a lot about IM but I've been stuck not taking action because I don't know what to believe, and everyone seems to want to sell me fluff information. Right now I'm interested in starting content websites, but I'm scared of getting banned from adsense and not having a back up revenue stream. I'm also really not sure how to pick markets, even though I've messed around with market samurai a lot.

tldr I'm a noob that needs to do something. I probably won't be contributing much because I'm a noob, but I want to lurk the heck out of this place. If anyone wants an apprentice I am definitely not completely useless and I just need a push in the right direction on where to put my efforts.

As an aside, I'm currently a freelance writer because I wanted to move in a direction where I could be location independent. I like "being my own boss" but I want to move in the direction of managing an operation instead of continuing to slog it out.

Hi AndrewR and welcome to experienced-people.net

but I want to lurk the heck out of this place
This is a public forum, those wanting to simply lurk don't need to open an account to do that. Please confirm to me by PM whether you want to participate or just watch. Thanks.

<added> Thanks for your PM, I look forward to your posts.

    Welcome AndrewR.

It's hard to pick the great minds on this forum if you don't ask the questions that you have but others have not asked. Then we all benefit form the answers! Trust me when I tell you that you will get way more value in participation than lurking. Budget the time you have available to post, even if very limited.

On the flip side, there is no doubt knowledge and talent that have that others can benefit from!
