    Flippa's new layout

Haven't played around with it too much but Flippa's new layout looks drastically different (and more pleasing to the eye).

Having the stats for each listing available in full without having to hover over an image does make it easier to browse.

    The updated search looks good.

    What's your take?

I like it, it looks a lot more like eBay.. and yes I like filtering... especially if I'm only looking for site with traffic and/or revenue

I love Ebay so the new layout is like 'coming home' for me. Great to see the change!

Thanks for the feedback. We've tried to design the interface so you can run your eye down your favorite metric, comparing listings more easily.

This is a minor complaint (but a major pain in the *ss to me), but I wish they also displayed the list date. You can sort by list date but you can't actually see the list date anywhere on the display. You have to click through to the actual listing to see when it was listed. The old layout displayed it so you could very quickly just glance at all the listings for a given day. I'm not sure why they would allow you to sort by list date but then don't show it anywhere on the display??? Other than that, I think the new layout is an improvement.

That gets my goat too. If you are able to sort on a field, you should be able to see it.

Honestly, we ran out of real estate, and we were taking inspiration from eBay who don't display it. I went through quite a few designs trying to squeeze it in, but there just wasn't space.

I'm interested to know what you guys use that for specifically? Do you just want to see the listings since you last logged in? Or the listings in the last day or week? Or is it really just for a check of whether each listing is new or old?

For me, the point is that the listed date is useful information. If it's useful, and you can sort by it, it needs to be visible.

Personally, I like to view the listing with no filters. I like to sort the list by descending list date and make my own decisions about viewing a listing based on the listing date and other criteria. At the moment I can't do that.

But really, this is a basic usability thing. If the field is important enough to sort on it, it should be visible. Shouldn't need to argue the case each time you create a listing function. Maybe I've got an old school perspective on software though
