Winning Child Custody Strategies.com - missed out on a solid buy

    http://flippa.com/auctions/84912/Established-Site-Autopilot-Income-204Mo-Hot-Evergreen-Niche-100-Unique

    Sold for 12x monthly revenue.

    Why it's a good buy:

    Pretty good sales copy

    Autoresponders are good

    Evergreen niche

Ranks in google and yahoo for a few keywords

    Stable history of income

Product created by someone who was intimately involved with the subject

    Price elasticity suspected

    All traffic is organic

Seller was happy to email proof of financials

Available at a Buy It Now price

I saw this in the morning right after it was posted and I was heading out... and I hesitated. I could have done some SEO to move the rankings of the site up a bit for its' keywords in google and made a good difference in the traffic.

    What say you?

It ranks third for it's core keyword already, and I really doubt there is enough volume there to move the needle very much. I think the site was priced right if the revenue figures are correct though (and as always, that's a big 'IF').

I ran a list of 150 related keywords through a piece of software and there were about 10 main keywords it ranked 7-10 for in google on the first page which were worth trying to optimize... but yes... it's always a matter of if revenue checks out.

Never say "missed out" till both parties have feedback and the WHOIS has changed

In this case, feedback has been exchanged but it's worth sending a PM to the seller a month or two after the auction to enquire if it's still available. It sometimes is.
