Name My Thingy - Now Free

Not the most elegant of names surely

But so far they've had less than one listing a week. To kick start thingys they've made it free. Want anything named? Here's your chance!

If you need ideas for a name, you’ve come to the right place. It might be for your new business, your web site, or even your new pet.
Actually I do have two new pets today, guinea pigs, and they don't have names. But seeing that it's free I'm tempted to go on a naming spree. I never got around to giving my car a moniker or naming my PC. And surely my dual monitor setup could lead to no end of confusion if they are both called Monitor.

I really can't see them making money on that service unless they can roll over a steady diet of suckers looking to make a few bucks naming things.

I had the same thought in Dec 2008 but couldn't figure out a way to keep buyers honest enough to keep suggesters coming back time and time again. Too many ways to game the system (don't declare a winner, create a shill account and name it the winner, etc...).

I tried to figure out a way to hold the domain names while they were being suggested but couldn't figure out a way to do so without losing money on the listings.
