One usually doesn't. One waits to be invited.Looks like all the groups are private, how does one request to join?
I think you can start your own, though.

That's right, Kay.
I would rather not encourage a culture of people sending PMs requesting to be admitted. That could quickly get annoying for group founders.
DM, what I've noticed is that if people see you around and if you post often enough they invite you to topics that they feel would be relevant to you or where they feel your contribution would help. Regular participation in the public forums is really the key. There is one group I'm going to send you an invite for and I see that you are in the Mutual Fund group as well now.

Clinton, I get your hintI wasn't active on the forum lately, mostly due to other business engagements (seo projects and offline stuff), but now site investments are my main focus again, so I'll be around more. If there are any other active groups - feel free to invite me.
Thanks, yeah I just started one as well![]()

Announcements:
1. Invitations: It probably doesn't need saying, but I thought I'd make it clear anyway - I'm not going to invite anyone to a group not started by me. So, if you start a group, you know that the only people who are going to be participating are those you've invited yourself.
2. Posts in Groups don't count towards your general post count. This is the default setting and not some attempt by me to get you to participate in public threads. But please do remember that it's what you contribute in public threads that attracts new, interesting and knowledgeable people to join our conversations.
