Would You be Interested in Buying New Successful Sites?

Would something like this interest you?

If I could build brand new websites for you and get them to "succeed," would you commit to buy them? Let me clarify:

    WHAT I WOULD DO
    I would:
    • choose a 2-word keyphrase of the theme you prefer (exact topic, keyphrase will be chosen by me based on keyword and competition research).
    • buy an exact match domain from GoDaddy, restricted to one of the foll 3: .net, .org, .com
    • Put up 1 page of original html-only content, 1 page of privacy policy, 1 favicon, my adsense ads.
    • Promote this site using the usual methods of link popularity

If this site ranks in the top 30 (top 3 pages) for its keyphrase (without quotes), then you commit to buy it from me for $300. This could happen sooner, but I could need a max of 3 months to make this happen.

In case, you want to get more specific: the keyphrase I choose will have at least 1000 "Global Monthly Search Volume" for the exact phrase match. It will have "Estimated Avg. CPC" of at least 25 cents. This data will be sourced from the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

I recently sold a site in exactly this way (for $375). The site is:
    http:// www. defragcomputer. net/

Note, I did not sell the site in the exact form it is now. I had a simple html site. The buyer put in wordpress and added a second page of content. When I sold it, it was on page 3 of google. With minimal link building the buyer has managed to move it to page 1.

    Thanks
    Ajeet

Though Ajit's a new poster I know for a fact he's not here to spam the boards and that we can learn a lot from him, so am allowing this post.

    Interesting concept.

I can't say it interests me particularly and I suspect it wouldn't excite that many folk here. There is a strong preference in buying sites with an already proven revenue stream or very clear potential to reap returns. Just because a site ranks well for a good keyword with a nice CPC, it doesn't mean that it's instantly has value.

That said, I wish you luck and will be interested to see if anyone takes you up on this offer.

Hi, This is not really a service I provide. It is just an idea that struck me. Since this is a forum where serious buyers discuss such ideas, I decided to test whether there was a niche waiting to be uncovered.

Wow! I did not know I did something that needed to be allowed. I guess, I did not fully understand "Buy / Sell / Trade / Employ"

If you are open to this peter, let us give it a spin. In the spirit of experimentation, you would not have to "commit," this once.

I know, I know. I have not posted such an offer on sites where there are a gazzillion users, as I am not too sure about it. But maybe site flippers, or people who strive to achieve the same thing, but manage 20% success, might like it. Let's see.

EDIT: Peter You knew that forex was hyper-competitive, didn't you Preliminary research shows that this is impossible to achieve. I will delve deeper, but pessimistic There goes my idea.

Yes, forex is about as competitive as it comes. If you come up with a domain, let me know. If not, certainly understand that, I doubt I could find one that meets the requirements you set out. I did snap up a couple dozen forex .org domains recently, but those were mostly in the 800-1000 range (search volume). I do frequently hire for article marketing too, if the terms are right.

You tend not to see spam threads here in BSTE, but there've been many people who've been very generous and posted threads pointing us to all kinds of blue pill, mobile phone and other deals which we could have missed in our usual day-to-day surfing. Thanks to the big notice at the top of the section, a pre-moderation requirement, zero tolerance thread deletions and an admin who doesn't need blue pills we continue to be ignorant about all those deals.

I'm always happy to make an exception if I know the person is not here to spam the boards. This section is, after all, for members to sell stuff, not people pretending to be members just so they can sneak a thread in.

Ok Peter, I took this up as a challenge. Since I like to fol myself into believing that I good at discovering exact match domain names, I have something that might work. To discover more, tell me, are all the above critical for you, or could we relax ONE criteria. Which one? Your choice.

I would consider a three word keyphrase nearly equal to the two word keyphrase. OTOH, a .info domain would be worthless. Some of the country code domains are often quite valuable, but you would need specific knowlege of that country to evaluate it. For example, a Forex .de domain could have great value, but you'd need to know how to evaluate the keyphases in German. Search volume would be where I'd not want to compromise, because without traffic the site doesn't make anything. But, don't spend too much of your time, I don't wish this to turn out to be a "fool's errand" for you. Put your clients giving possibe tasks first. I'll be pleasantly surprised if you find something.

I think I might pay $300 for such a site if it was making a dollar a day from Adsense after four months.
