If I have a super-premium domain name. The kind that "I" would expect would sell for a million dollars, where would I sell it?
Would I try to list it somewhere, or would I find a domain name broker for it?

These auctions create the most publicity and have the higher value names. Other than that you can also list it on dnforum.com
Most people who think they have a million dollar domain really don't.
Given the type of people in this forum I wouldn't be surprised if one or more did own domains that could fetch a million dollars. I wouldn't knock the possibility.
There's nobody more coy about providing proof of what he's talking about than you, PeterIn my experience, whenever someone was refusing to disclose the domain they're talking about, it's all just crap
Give the guy a break. He isn't looking to sell it to you, he's asking for venue advice. He didn't even claim to own a domain worth a million, he said he was talking hypothetically.
I'm quite happy it's a valid topic. Can we focus on the questions please, guys. For a high value domain is it best to use a broker or list somewhere?
I think aligning yourself with a broker (or anyone that knows a lot of people that purchase high value domains) is the best way to do it. I am not a true domain name broker, but just recently I was contacted by an individual who has a network of MANY high value domains (his portfolio is valued at over $20 million IMO) and is always looking for more to add. Just knowing that guy alone is valuable for anyone looking to sell off a very high value domain.

Quite possible. Hence the eloquent use of the quotation marks in my original post.
I can see that would usually be the case. Should I PM you my domain name and ask for your off-the-cuff thoughts on it. The Whois has my name on it.
Yeah, please do
I would love it if there were a broker who could help me out. Assume that there was indeed a million dollar domain name. What kind of brokerage would one be looking at. (PS: Do you want me to PM you the domain name?)
Yep, the truth is anyone who has a million dollar worth domain name already has a pretty good idea of where to sell it and for how much since he'd be receiving constant emails with offers from interested buyers and domain marketplace companies willing to auction it.
Back to the topic - a lot depends on what sort of domain that is. If it's a very generic domain, like Computer.com the TRAFFIC auction would be best, if it's a more targeted name it might be worth to hire a broker to push it to some potential end users.
What sort of name are we talking about, Ajeet? I would be curious to see it as well if you feel like pming.
