Ajeet,
It's always the combo of brokers and auctions. You never know where it might fetch you the best price.I have been dealing with domains for a while (off/on) and have contacts with some serious players in the market. If you wish ,you can pm me the name and I can present to this elite group of buyers.
On the the other hand (assuming )its generic name and has a end user value(i.e to a company/corp) it can be marketed to them directly as Clinton mentioned earlier. I have seen it get done in the past but, it requires a little bit of more effort to make sure you reach and contact the right person and convince them with the value that you are seeking. I have seen where blunders have been made by some big companies by not recognizing the true value of the name meant for them only, for them to come back later when the name is sold or the seller asks for a lot more premium, just due to the fact that the person who was initially contacted was not the right person. So there are some issues in dealing directly. But if the name is good as you mention it will get you a good return. No questions.
