Apologies to The Green Man. We've taken your thread way off topic. I hope that someone in your area (Chicago) can offer something of use to you. And I go back to my earlier point - if anyone here has some spare kit (unwanted or unused computer equipment) then please do offer it to one of our valued EP members. Thanks.
More Menu Madness - it makes you want to ask for the "check please".

P.S. This forum is the first place I had ever seen the word 'kit' used to describe computer equipment

Freecycle is a very popular site. Shame it didn't exist a few years ago when I was getting rid of tens of thousands of pounds of computer gear. I gave it to a local charity to sell through eBay because I couldn't be bothered dealing with hundreds of buyers in eBay. Rather than listing items individually like I thought they would, they put the entire quantity up in one job lot and didn't make more than a few hundred pounds.

Ironically, we used to make regular trips to Essex, Southend actually, to see relatives and I've probably driven down the A13 within 5 mins of your house Clinton on numerous occasions. Unfortunately there was an incident and we don't go anymore otherwise I might have popped in with the family for a home made curry! Yum.

Btw Kay, when I hear the word 'Kit' it always make me think of Knightrider.

'Kit' is the word we use to refer to all manner of hardware, from computers through to photographic.
Never use it to refer to anything automotive though. Not sure why. Perhaps 'kit' is stuff that is small enough to pick up and move around by hand?

A little off topic, but here 'kit' is often a drum set. But 'setup' would prolly be the translation for your 'kit'. Either way, if you stop for a sec and think, its not too hard to figure it out
