Who wants $50 free to play poker with!

I just signed up for William Hill because I was given a free $50 bankroll by these guys www.pokerstrategy.com

All I had to do was complete a 20 question quiz (all the answers are on the site so even a complete beginner could pass this test) you have two hours, it took me about 15 minutes, and they gave me $50 free to play with.

    The catch is:

To ensure your bankroll lasts you can join the following tables and tournaments:
    • Hold'em Fixed Limit: Blinds up to $0.10 / $0.20
    • Hold'em No-Limit: Blinds up to $0.02 / $0.04
    • Hold'em Sit n Go's / Tournaments: Buy-In up to $1.00 (plus fees)
Note: The blinds & buy-ins are all ($/£/€). No SNG heads up tournaments are allowed.
You will be able to play on the full selection of Poker tables when any of the following conditions are met:
    • You made a deposit of at least $100.
    • You have generated at least $50 in Rake.
    • You have more than 30 days of player activity.
However, if you're a beginner or even a player who just fancies some free dosh, this is a great deal.

Apologies to everyone who saw the post before Kay edited it for my posting of what amounted to an Aff link. I would never post an Aff link and because poker is my hobby and not a source of income and it was a 'refer a friend' link I didn't think it was the same but I guess it is.

My bad, as the Americans say.

What site is the money deposited on? My cash was all on FT (luckily I had less than $100 on there).

You get a choice of about 6 sites, they're obviously pushing Party Poker but I already have an account on there and they get a little pissed off with people who use multiple accounts, so I chose william Hill cos I figured the games would be even softer than regular 4NL. I'd prefer to play 10NL or 25NL but I can't until I've met their stipulations.

I lost some money on FT too but like you it wasn't a lot. Still can't believe it shut down.

Is this available to US residents? I didn't see any offer to take a quiz or get a starting bankroll.

That's wierd, I can see the 'take the quiz' link on the home page but clicking it just takes me to the sign up page. It's possible that I signed up before taking the quiz (somthing I might not do mormally) and don't remember doing it because the quiz was advertised in Poker Player magazine which I consider a trusted source.

I have no idea if it's oepn to US residents, I'd guess not given the current state of affairs.

I've got my $50 anyway so it's on the level. Now to crush 4NL!

Dayum, wished I'd checked my spelling before posting that, that'll teach me to post so soon after getting up.

I used a UK proxy and was given the offer for the quiz, so my location is the problem. Oh well.
