I have to admit I haven't really got into using Twitter yet, although I am aware of its power, so you won't find anything particularly interesting to read on there at the moment.

I'm going to follow you Slowdive, I have an affinity with Africa having spent a fair amount of my childhood there and my ex girlfriend went off to do VSO in Namibia for a couple of years.

I just read a good write up on how to use twitter to its full potential "How Twitter Changed my Life" its on the NYTimes small biz blog, the author seems to know what she is talking about having grown her followers to 150K+ and she has some related posts as well which if you are interested in Twitter might give some insights into how to grow your follower base.
