    any domain brokers about?

I have a barely used (no content on site) single word .org that i had plans for but finding myself cash flow strapped I would sell for the right offer. I am realistic about the selling price however. Is there any brokers on this forum could tell me if I am barking up the wrong tree?

    PMs etc appreciated

Looky, y ain't dropped it and it is yours. Why not name it and see what the world thinks?

Cmon, if it is something like furniture. org anyone can see the value. Help us to help you. WTH you get a free link. A link from E-P is valuable.

If you are right you have a valuable domain - if it turns out to be a sow's ear, you save time finding that out, eg. disestablishmentarianism . org is worth marginally less than ClintonIsAPrivet Hedge .com ( for the purists - Clinton is NOT GREEN, and cannot be mistaken for a privet hedge. OTOH if you are urinating on his leg, I think you might claim the "poor eyesight" option. Remember to bring up your seeing-eye dog as a witness).

If it makes you feel better, I will name my latest catch, which is healthytipsweightloss .com AND HAS A LOT GOING FOR IT -Hey, MAKE ME AN OFFER I'm skint at the moment. It has PR, mozrank, links in and a completely idle owner who is scraping the barrel to get through December.

Buy my apple corers and sunglasses, football clocks and plastic rocks with holes in ... oh, didn't I mention that I also have tchotchketrader.com (pr3) for sale? WTH if this is the wrong part of the forum, at least I'm upfront!

No need to be coy - your ownership is secure, you registered it - didn't you?

Any time I've broached the subject of "how much do you think my domain is worth?" on here, I've been pointed towards NamePros which has a dedicated forum for such things, and is populated by many domainers.

I would like to see something similar on here, but it ain't here yet. And those of us who are interested in such matters can hardly comment about the value of a name when we don't even know what the name is.

[Edit: I've removed part of my posting because I was talking rubbish. Sorry to Crabfoot if you saw it, and sorry to the rest of you for any inconvenience or confusion which I may have caused.]

Question 1: Is it a real dictionary word that normal people might use?

More Menu Madness - it makes you want to ask for the "check please".

A dictionary word domain can be worth a lot or not much more than the reg fee. It really depends on the word and if there is an industry behind the word that is willing to pay for it. Flowers as a word domain would be worth a substantial amount but soil as a domain would be worth less. Chocolate as a domain would be worth a fair bit but theobromacacoa would be worth substanitially less (mind you that is 2 words but you should get the point)

Sure, grynge, but you've got to start somewhere when trying to dig out information. So your question is:

    2. Is it a dictionary word which could be valuable to an industry?

    My next question is:

    3. How many letters?

PS: Why choose chocolate-related terms for your example? Have you been reading my food blog?

Maybe he doesn't want to disclose it publicly whether linked or not linked

The thing is that brokers likely wouldn't be interested unless they believe they can get a pretty high figure for it. Dreemer, could you tell us more about the word? It isn't a trademarked name by any chance, is it!?

I could give you a quick appraisal of what it's worth on the market if you pm the name. Namepros and DNforum are also the best places to get it appraised or try to sell it.

Dropping you a note along that same line Michael. Domain sales is foreign territory for me. Could use an expert opinion.
