    Flippa seller DomainRound, Gotcha!

Someone called FlippingEnterprise (is it who I think it is?) comments in this Flippa blog post:

Here is a link to his latest auction: https://flippa.com/2675714-yahoo-ans...o-exp-required

He has sold over 50 of these websites in the past all claiming to have made $X,XXX in less than 10 days ...

It’s quite obvious that DomainRound is a SCAMMER, and Flippa continues to enable this seller to get away with this scams taking people for their money. ...
Flippa reply that they'll look into it. (Read all the comments in the Flippa blog from a Mr. Potatohead)

But I took a peek at the thread - yes, it's still there - and there is a comment from the previous owner of the domain. The seller tried to suppress the comment which was:

    i41.tinypic.com/15owd9 k.png

    This screenshot is definitely false!

I was the original owner of this domain since 29 August 2011 and sold this domain name to someone else in a domain marketplace forum before a week ago.
So,this domain name has never been used in any project until 8 December 2011....
Fortunately Flippa intervened to restore the comment, but the seller isn't banned so beware.

His feedback does look good though

"Super smooth transaction and excellent communication! Seller really went above and beyond. I can't say enough good things about this seller! )"
    Website sold for $1,199

"Awesome seller!!!! I will buy again. A+++++++++++++++++"
    Website sold for $2,375

"Its been a pleasure doing business with this seller. transaction was smooth and his support throughout the process is great. I HIGHLY recommend this seller!!!!!!!!!!!"
    Website sold for $1,199

"Responsive and responsible seller. No problems with this transaction. Would recommend as well as purchase from again."
    Website sold for $1,825

"Great deal, and awesome seller, i will recommend this guy, very serious and trustful, will do more business again. AAAAAA+++++++++++"

Wow, he's so tremendously lucky. Not only do all his auctions end in "buy it now"s, but they all leave stellar feedback.

Wasn't me or any of my staff.

Thanks for the heads up! Nice to see that there are still copycats out there

As I mentioned in the blog comments, we had a look at this user, and ended up suspending him. After several discussions with him and with several buyers of his sites, we decided to reinstate his account but to keep a very, very close eye on his activity. Some additional information came to light, and his explanation for the discrepancy checks out.

meathead1234, there are a few others with similar names! At first I thought you had developed a serious case of multiple personalities.

OLechat, thanks for your reply. Happy watching ...and I don't envy you the correspondence back and forth to check out all these suspect sellers.

I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't point it out, so thanks for the heads up. And also thanks for the Flippa guys (and girl ) for changing the name to something unrelated to me.

I noticed a user with the name FlippingEnterprise selling a site a few weeks ago - he also got made to change the account name.

I guess I should find it flattering
