    Flippa opens up some stats

    Here.

    They give you a breakdown of the tags used, what percentage sold and what the average sale value was. I like getting more information

    It looks like 60-70% of listings achieve a sale. That looks kinda high. Am I missing something?

    If I read it correctly, on the Wordpress tag there are 1283 closed auctions out of which 72% sold. That's 923 sold. That row also says there were 23 buyers. So buyers bought, on average, 40 sites each? (923/23)

    I like this bit:

    For website sellers and flippers, I’m sure it’s immediately evident you can use this report to help you decide what niche you’re going to focus on next...You use the automated blog tag, your listing is only 48% likely to sell, whereas autoblog is 75% likely
    If you're selling, there you go, you've now got an opportunity for tag spam

    Now I'm even more confused because I'm sure I bought 924.

    @3Six,

    Please stop making new blogs. I'm trying to "own" the market on green skin care, but every time I buy one of your blogs, you list another. PLEASE STOP MAKING NEW BLOGS SO THAT I CAN STOP BUYING THEM!!! I only wish to eliminate the competition!

    Clinton, I've been scammed and lost over $10,000 on the 5 previous courses I tried, but I think yours is going to be THE ONE that allows me to make millions while sitting at home and doing nothing. What's the url?

    Trust you guys to focus on *that* part of the post .

    How about some constructive conversation around what you've found? For example, auctions tagged with "no reserve" have a clearance rate of 90%. Could this be a good sales tactic?

    Or: How about them "facebook" tagged listings, what's going on with them? They seem to have a high clearance rate and relatively high average sale price - what strategies can we use to find and buy facebook niche sites outside of Flippa and resell them in the marketplace?

    Certainly. Once sellers cotton on to the fact that using "no reserve" tags get more views, whether or not the auctions really do have no reserve, are you going to police the tags?

    It's like meta keywords all over again
