    Hi Andy

Happy whatever it is you're celebrating. It's Christmas Day tomorrow - so Merry Christmas!

Some of us don't get holidays. Clinton is very cruel to us and has chained all the mods to their keyboards. We even have to apply for special permission to be unlocked if we need to go to the loo. Dave is very upset about this because he doesn't know where the kitchen is in our house and there's no one else to put tea on t' table.

Merry Xmas guys well that's what it is in our household. Apparently that isn't very politically correct but then no-one has ever accused me of being politically correct lol. Whatever you are celebrating at this time of year I hope it is a safe and fun time of year for you and all of your families.
I got out of bed today staring at a ghost. Who forgot to float away, didnt have all that much to say. Wouldn't even tell me his own name.

    Merry Christmas, grynge.

What's on today's menu? Are you having a barbie?

I went to a fabulous Australian Christmas barbie many years ago, it was great fun. Hope you enjoy it whatever you're doing.

Happy Christmas to those that celebrate it - season's greetings to those that don't.

Unless Kay gets unlocked soon I think I might have to eat out. Fortunately a bar just down the road from us is roasting a pig today.

Kay we had king prawns, crabs, morton bay bugs and cray. Along with the rest of the food and sweets and deserts. It was a great day and luckily everyone has gone home now, my bourbon beckons me, the peace and quiet rain supreme. Bloody hell they just told me its only 365 days till next xmas boy does it come around fast.

Time seems to speed up when you get older.

Your Christmas meal sounded great. I've not even started on making our dinner yet - still chained up. No worries, we had our Christmas meal last week so I could blog about it ahead of time. We'll probably have pork chops or something. Yumm, pork chops.

For those of you celebrating Christmas today... A Very Merry Christmas to you and your family!

...and Happy Holidays to those not celebrating Christmas!

Perception of the speed of time passing does change with age. I recall seeing a TV show with a way to measure the difference between older and younger people's perception of time. Testing shown had participants counting to 60 seconds, as accurately as they could without seeing a clock.

Younger people counted time more accurately than older people. Working people (and those in school) counted time more accurately than retired people. Older people averaged taking well over a minute to count to 60 seconds, sometimes substantially more.

You can measure your perception of how fast time is moving with the help of a person with a watch (with a second hand). The actual time elapsed, after someone counts to 60 seconds, can quantify the speed at which they perceive passage of time.

One-on-one in a quiet setting is most accurate, but this also makes for an interesting party game and conversation.

    Hi Guys,

Got nothing against saying "Merry Christmas" as this is the holiday I observe this time of year. However I've got many friends who have other beliefs and, well, I guess I should tolerate them too (kicks dirt).

I keep forgetting my Aussie mates want anything but a "White Christmas" as that would more likely mean a dust storm :-).

    Andy
