Best and Worst of the Web for 2011

Every year, media sites publish best and worst lists. If you didn't see it, Website Magazine has an interesting list of the Biggest Web Blunders of 2011

It probably could have been longer We discussed one of these, GoDaddy's SOPA problems

Website Magazine also had a 6-part Best of 2011 series starting with eCommerce Pages.

Time Magazine ran the 50 Best Websites of 2011 and some of these sites are exceptional, but I didn't agree with every selection.

These top lists kinda annoy me because the lazy journalists tend to make an ARS of it and rehash what was there the previous year. (ARS = annually repeated story) And worse, they all copy each other so it's the same darned sites on every list and there never seems to be any way for newcomers to get a look in.

Sour grapes? Yeah, I guess so. Oh well, I didn't just sit and whinge about it, I made my own top list site (top50blogs .co.uk). Another EP member wrote nearly all the content for it but he made sure to include my sites on his list whenever relevant. Guess who is No. 1 in the food and drink category.
