Have you ever used this website to get traffic

    It's a website called 2leep.com.
The way that it works is that you add a widget to posts on your website; the widget then creates little thumbnails so that visitors to your site can then go to pages with similar content.
Eventually you get to submit your own links and traffic gets sent to your website. I've used it on one of my sites. Some contents get little traffic, and some do phenomenally.

Has anyone here ever used it? and what do you think about traffic from using a site like that.

(If you want an idea of what the thumbnails look like, visit 2leep.com and check out the little thumbnails)

I have friends who use similar networks - basically it's a way of generating traffic for sites that sell ads based on CPM..

Many entertainment sites use it. I was once contacted by a similar service, but decided not to use it in the end, although they promised a significant traffic increase and it seemed viable.

Is it real people coming to your site or simply pageviews generated via a remote site loading your page when they get a visitor - an updated version of the fake pop-under traffic?

That's something that I'm concerned about.
I tested it out by submitting genuinely boring articles sometimes as opposed to exciting ones at other times.
I noticed that the boring articles get little traffic and the exciting ones get lots of traffic; both from 2leep and from other sources.

Is this enough of an indicator that at least most of the traffic that comes from this site is real?

I don't think they are faking traffic. I was already contacted by several of those networks and they work well. But I don't like them on my site even if it increases a little bit on traffic. Don't like to have those image blocks on my site that are big and push away many users.

I find it works well with sites that have simple and catchy content that isn't too deep.

I didn't like it on one of my sites because it made the entire site look tacky.
I'm glad that the traffic is most likely real though.
