When you're looking at dropping domains the PR doesn't tell you much any more.

I'm still learning to use Mozrank, so this is just the way I see it at the moment. My views may change as I learn.

A domain that has been used recently for a site will have a Mozrank value. if the site was still up when it dropped it can be as high as Mozrank 4+, if the domain has been parked or not had much traffic it will be 0.

You want to use it to detect zombies? If the domain has PR2+ and Mozrank 0 you are almost certainly looking at a new creation on an old domain - but if the domain had a site on it when it dropped, it would have a higher Mozrank, so a zombie would have a Mozrank less than about 4 with a PR2+.
Then again, zombies are getting rarer, because the panda is reducing the "raw material" dropping domains down to the "old stock" that people caught before the panda was implemented. Like Benitez, I am noticing that some old catches are holding their PR and some have lost it.

MozRank is basically SEOmoz's equivalent of PageRank. SEOmoz is hoping that they can release figures that a more precise (they aren't limited to one digit), released more frequently, and can be calculated for an entire domain. Yes, this still all uses the same index as their Open Site Explorer.
