    Security problem

    Hello,

I purchased my first domain and web hosting last night.I purchased the domain from namecheap and the hosting from hostGator,i then dowwnloaded wordpress from the hostGator control panel.

After receiving the email with my links for the website when i click on the links my anti virus alerts me with a warning of an infected page and i cant access it.This happens on all the links i have, the public url and the admin url.

    Please help me.

PM me the url and I will see what is happening.

Some registrars like godaddy domain hosting come up as bad sites in some antivirus.
Then there came a time, of Kings, Empires and Revolutions, blood just looks the same when you open the vein.

I have found out that this does often happen and you have to allow the website through your anti virus if you get me.Would this sound correct or should i not try that.

I checked the url you pm'ed me (nice url by the way) In the code there is nothing malicious, but it is parked using namecheaps parking. I would assume your antivirus finds their advertising cookies a bit over the top with information they try to secure is why you are getting an alert.

Whatever, it sounds like rog needs to point the nameservers at the hosting, if it is parked.

I buy domains and set websites up all the time and this has never happened to me. When you figure out what it was, can you post it?

Do you have a host for your website?
if so you will need to ask them what dns server settings to use, normally something like NS1.HOSTDOMAIN.COM NS2.HOSTDOMAIN.COM
With that information you login to namecheap and edit the dns or some call them nameservers settings.

You then login to you hosts account and either upload the website files or start coding depending on how you are going to build yourwebsite.
Then there came a time, of Kings, Empires and Revolutions, blood just looks the same when you open the vein.
