Sitepoint Closes Their Website Buying & Selling Forum

Today I find that Sitepoint's forum 265 - "How To Buy And Sell A Website" - doesn't exist any more! All posts and threads from there have been moved to their Business Issues forum.

Some history backfill: This experienced-people.net forum started because of Sitepoint's Forum 265. That was pretty much THE place to go for any conversation about valuing, buying or selling websites. Unfortunately, the SP owners and admin/moderators did a good job of upsetting users so all the main posters in that section moved over en masse to start this EP forum - names like benitez17, tke71709 etc., that you see around here frequently.

But it gives me no satisfaction to see SP's 265 close. When I threw a petulant fit a year ago and told them to just give the bloody forum up, I was hoping it would be a wake up call for them to revive the forum and attract some good discussion which they were/are in a very advantageous position to do. But, sadly, that hasn't happened.

    RIP Forum 265.
