In our national newspaper none the less, kudos to you (although I giggled at the stewardess pic on the site).

I'm not! It's kinda like your "SEO guru" thing

tke71709, I didn't know it's an important newspaper in Canada. To be honest, when they asked me I said yes based on the PR of their homepage! How rookie is that (Or how cheap am I)?

midascode may be more surprised than most. He's been trying to get me to do interviews, videos etc., now for years but I've always resisted. Professional marketers like him are appalled at the information I give away for free on the experienced-people.co.uk site. The place for that information is an ebook and a mailing list and a paid subscriber model! but they are so not my style.

The BBC got in touch today about a documentary they're doing. It's not about websites but something that's even more dear to our hearts.

They want to know how entrepreneurs and business people like us feel about money, our attitudes to it etc., they want to talk to people with a strong personal philosophy about money. Any takers?

It would be the Canadian equivalent of the Wall Street Times I suppose, there are essentially two "national" newspapers in Canada and then every city has it's own local one (or more) as well. This would be the more prestigious of the national ones.

Well, it wasn't just the PR5 - the homepage did look professional and the guy who emailed me was really nice. But the main reason I took part was because I wanted to squeeze in some publicity for this forum. I've yet to get around to spending that $10K-$20K in publicity I spoke about in early threads and, while we are getting a steady flow of the right kind of people, I'm still hoping to broaden the membership to include more offline business types, legal eagles and others who can add their knowledge, experience and different perspectives to discussions around the buying and selling of websites.

Back to the BBC. Anyone interested in taking part?

Hate it. Need it. Rubbish at getting it.

Can't see that being much use to them though.
