    Recommended reading/blogs

Are there any blogs/sites/courses (on site flipping/VRE) that would you heartedly recommend?

There definitely seems to be quite a bit out there, but is there anything that's really that good that's worth the time reading? I'm definitely of the opinion that it's action rather than knowledge which really matters - but I guess there might be something that you think is really worth the time in reading.

I would recommend you avoid all the blogs about flipping sites. And, I even more highly recommend you stay away from any courses or ebooks on the topic. These are just people who want to try to take money from stupid people. Don't be one of the stupid people.

Clinton's site and forum, this one right here, is the only one that I have any respect for.

Thanks Peter, that's very kind, especially coming from you, someone who has written a lot of quality articles on the subject.

But there have got to be some other reliable advisers. If anyone out there reading this post has put together a resource feel free to drop me a PM or an email to the webmaster at this domain with a copy of your book/course and I'll try to do a review of it. That includes the members on here like tvanslooten and Michelle. To avoid any suggestion of impropriety there'll be no money involved and you'll have to accept that if the book really annoys me or seems scammy you'll get a scathing review . midascode, a few months ago you sent me an email about a chap who had put some stuff together. I recall that he came across as quite knowledgable. Please resend that email if you can find it.

Good idea Clinton. I'd be happy to have a look at anyone's materials as well. Can't guarantee a long-winded review, but could certainly give a thumbs up or thumbs down, suggestions for improvement, etc.

I'm going to make a small condition to my previous offer. Whoever wants me to spend time reviewing their product has to give me one recommendation - I'll treat it as an endorsement - for another product related to buying/selling websites and they have to get that product owner to send me a copy. The idea is that they'll choose something they believe in from someone whose advice they trust.

Clinton I haven't bought all the programs on offer and there are probably many I don't know about that could be fantastic but the ones I have seen I'm not willing to endorse. No probs re the review as I haven't met your criteria.

Michelle, I'll do yours, you did send the ebook to me before I added the condition, and I'm looking forward to doing it. But I thought it prudent to protect myself from a potential sudden flood of ebooks in my inbox.

I find it curious though that you are not willing to endorse a single program among those you've checked out (and I know you've seen a fair few). If most of them are really rubbish then maybe I don't need to worry about that flood of ebooks - they wouldn't want an honest review

But what grounds would you say most of those programs fail on?

I've seen a lot on the surface (sales pages, intro videos, free reports etc) and dug deep around the edges but only actually bought into a handful. Out of the handful I did buy into one was presented in a high quality manner, you got a lot for your money but it was too generic for me and some of the technical transfer instructions failed me. It also doesn't help convince me to endorse products when the creators sell sites on domains that I would think are clear trademark violations.

Like I said earlier, I haven't seen all the programs out there and for all I know there could be many that are considered to be fantastic by their customers' standards.

I don't go looking for site flipping products these days but the few that do come to my attention do so because I get emails asking for JVs, guest posts and other marketers promoting other site flipping products. I'll look something over but don't have a need to buy into them. If something looks extra hyped up I'll tend to look at it closer so I can be wary of what might end up being listed in the marketplace.

There are plenty of marketers who feel what they're putting out is good wholesome stuff so you never know, you might get some submissions that pleasantly surprise you. (I'm having one of those optimistic sunny moments.)

    They focus on the seller.
