Where to begin with selling my software store?

Hi everyone, i set up a software store a few months ago specialising in adobe cs4.
It's call Super Cheap Software.
Anyhow - our main business has got running at full speed again, and we're struggling to stay on top of orders and enquiries with the software, and marketing is falling behind.

I was wondering what would be best - should I try to sell it as it is? Or should I make an effort to improve it before selling?

What improvements are generally at the top of peoples lists? I know the earnings will be a key factor, but what other issues? I was hoping to optimise it further next month, but wanted to see what you guys thought as i'm not very experienced in selling sites only making them!

Jen, unlike with selling houses where a lick of paint and tidy up of the garden can make a big difference to the asking price, there aren't quick and easy ways of increasing what appeals most to buyers. Increasing profit takes time, and building a solid history of profit takes even longer.

Sometimes it's just best to get rid of something rather than spend a lot of time doing it up first. However, if you did want to go ahead with improving its kerb appeal I'd find a drop shipper to handle fulfilment (thus appealing to buyers who may be outside the UK) and build a PPC campaign in the business Adwords account (which can be passed on to the buyer).
