    Analytics Question

I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this one out, and neither Google Groups nor a general search yields the correct answer.

Does anyone know of a way to combine to metrics in analytics into one custom column for reporting purposes?

For example, on an app I have I have two goals set up - one when the user completes registration manually and one when they do it through Facebook connect.

Analytics is reporting the conversion rate for each on a custom report, but is there any way to combine the two to make a total user conversion rate column?

Can you make a third goal that fires with either type of registration?

    Hey Clayton,

I could but it would only show me data for everything going forward.

I've probably done this the wrong way round, but I need to compare how various events in the past affected my conversion rate for signups.

There's a lot of different dimensions and combinations so I'm trying to avoid having to excel everything and doing it manually.

It is definitely not my forte, but I think it should be possible to use a Google spreadsheet to get the effect you want. That way, I would hope that at least the Analytics data can be input automatically.

Why would it only show data going forward? I was thinking you could just trigger an event or a virtual page view.

Because it would only be triggered when the new event occurs, as it hasn't occured in the past it wouldn't be tracked except for going forward.

It sort of would, but in addition to having little idea on how to setup it up, I would loose the live drill down and filtering capabilities, and also have to create a lot of spreadsheets.
