    UQ / UV = UniQue Visitors (the unique number of ip's to your site)
    API = Advanced Programming Interface (normally a gateway between your website and another websites tool)
    BW = BandWidth (the amount of bandwidth used)
    PV = Page Views (how many pages are viewed on your website)
    OS = Operating System
    HITS = Sometimes confused with UV's but in fact just the amount of HITS to the server your website makes. A hit consists of an image loaded, a file loaded etc..

    HIT is used for Human Intervention Task (or something similar) on MTurk - the number of tasks undertaken is referred to as a number of HITs. make that one lower case to distinguish hits from HITs ...
