Three month update - this site is three months old, yeah!

I started setting this site up on the 5th of Jan when it was open to a few beta testers and it opened to the rest of the world on Jan 10th.

I think we've come really far in a short time. There are some negatives including
- Some threads got sidetracked into talking about stuff not everybody was interested in
- Some of the people I was hoping would post more often haven't
- Some of my ideas - like the monthly competition - didn't work
- I still haven't gotten around to doing some things I wanted to do ...like advertising this forum
- I've realised how big forum spam is & had to take harsh protective measures
- I'm still crap at vBulletin and keep screwing things up in the forum software settings

On the plus side, in no particular order
- I've got all you fantastic people together and chatting
- Members made useful contacts and got to do several deals in the background by PM and email
- We've got more than a couple of hundred members and a bit short of 4,000 posts
- You've helped me build a nice, clean, spam and fluff-free forum
- We got a 10% increase in traffic from Jan to Feb and a 40% increase from Feb to March
- We may be organising our first meetup near London soon
- We've influenced developments at the main marketplace/s
- We've established an independent & interference-free location for discussion on site buying and selling
- Lots more

Thanks to every, single one of you. As usual I'm open to any feedback and suggestions at any time. Please feel free t tell me how you'd like the forum to develop. You know my PM and email.

I love being on this site, and more than anything, importantly for me, that it is still in it's early days. I feel part of something that eventually, I know will be huge. I just hope I am remembered for being here in the early days !

I do not pretend that I know a lot about the internet "business" I know nothing. What I do know is that I am determined to learn everything about it and hopefully succeed. I truly think there are riches to be made.

I am finding it hard mind!. You have ideas that you think are nouvelle (not sure about the English spellng, sorry) and you find 700 people are already there, but I willl carry on.

Clinton I really appreciate what you are doing for us all on here, and no he`s not paying me to say that !!

By the way, been looking to buy domains with thousands of backlinks, (not sure what I will do when i get one, other than send it parked sites to get the click money?) - most have gone obviously, but what is a good number to go after?.

I know the quality of the links is important, but what to you guys is a good site? 100 links or 2,000? - also do you go after Alexa traffic sites? - millions of hits but no back links? what is more important? speak to you soon - Rich

This thread just popped up in 'New Posts'. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, Clinton, for providing this forum. It and the many brilliant members have been a constant source of inspiration for my own ventures in the world of website ownership, and you all have my sincere gratitude. Nearly 8 months now, and it looks to be getting stronger and stronger. Well done!
