    Hey Clinton, 3 Six,

Now I'm feeling the pressure !!

The idea behind the site is that we bring together listings from various marketplaces and allow users to perform analysis on one or many sites that they have an interest in.

This can be really basic, like just seeing all the new sites listed that have a Buy It Now that would put them at below 4 X monthly revenue for example. Or we have quick filters that allow you to do things like removing all starter sites with one click. The program also standardises everything and pulls in missing SEO and WHOIS data from forums and marketplaces that dont require their buyers to list everything in the listing.

On the more advanced side, the statistical module will give reporting on just about anything. For example if you want to know why your sites havent been selling well in the last week, you can pull a report for your category on whatever site you have it listed on - for example, here's one for Flippa

It will also tell you averages and maximums for a site your browsing to help get a feel for how much it will eventually go for.

There's too much to sum up in one post (including an Iphone App pending Apple Approval), and I dont want to hog the thread . I hope this gives you a good idea.

    Thanks
    Justin

I just took the beta for a spin. Fantastic job, Justin.

    Some suggestions:
    1. Under Financial Data, there's a bit too much colour. I'd also prefer the data under that tab is organised differently, it's a bit difficult to read

    2. Valuations - I like what you're doing in that you're using existing data of sites that have sold in a certain category to calculates estimates of what other sites in that category could sell for. In principle, that's exactly how I would have (and have) done it. But I believe your categories are too wide. For example, one of your categories seems to be for "Blog and Content Driven". That'll give you some 6x multiples and some 60x multiples. And the average of those isn't going to help with estimations.

    3. While on valuation, I know you've spent a lot of time on the categories (I read the blog post) but elements like age of site etc do impact on price - think 30 day old clickbank sites - as does PR and, importantly, net profit (which is a tricky one, I admit). Just analysing categories would make for very poor prediction ability and a lost opportunity.

    4. Search Data Tab: Again, it's difficult to see what's going on because of the formatting. I can't talk, ebizvaluations is a mess, but there are some rubbish valuation tools out there with some really cool formatting of the data collected.

    5. I like that you're tracking usernames. He he, we should get some interesting stuff from there

In short, great stuff! I didn't have much time to play around today but will give it another go in due course.

    Okay,

I just signed up and did some initial browsing. This is a GREAT tool. I like it a lot.

Justin, I just sent comments to you via your "contact us" ticket system. What I didn't mention there was the process for signing up was a bit involved. I think it could be streamlined a bit. Particularly, as I'm famous for scanning, I had a hard time finding the links to breeze through.

If you really want me to read all the details, I might be more inclined if the formatting for the sign up process was more reader friendly.

I'm looking further but for anyone who hasn't checked this out, I highly recommend it.

    Regards,

    Andy

I signed up and had a go at this.

Its a really nice tool, and I think could come in quite useful.

For me and I think many people its nice to be able to go to one site and search for the sites one is interested in purchasing, which this seems to do. Albeit I think theres only about 3 marketplaces at the moment. But if its capturing everything its a really nice way to sort through digitalpoint rather than sifting through so much of the crap on there.

    Firstly,

Thanks to everyone for their feedback so far. We've had some great pointers and we've started to implement most of them.

I agree, and I think we're going to experiment with some different formatting here.

The categorisation issue is the one keeping me awake at night. Blog and content driven is too wide, but it's tricky to tighten this up without manually classifying every site that comes in, mostly thanks to Flippa "tag as you like" system. The 'other elements' issue should now be sorted in that the new "estimated value" figure on this page will take into account PR, age, revenue and traffic.

Every now and then we come across a seller and see his / her other listings (usually hidden on Digital Point) and think "how interesting ". We're going to do a url search as well so you can see how many times that site may have traded hands for in the past.

Hi Andy. We deliberately hid the links on the sign up page so people would be forced to read before proceeding We just want people to fully appreciate that the site is still WIP and hopefully this wont put them off the final version.

I was one of Justin's first beta users and for a beta product, it's awesome. I just like the fact that I can browse listings at Flippa and Digital Point with one tool. To me, those are the two main marketplaces for the types of websites I'm looking to buy right now (between $1,000 - $5,000) and it's a pain to have to browse both marketplaces - especially Digital Point.

Keep up the great work, Justin!

Just signed up to the beta on Friday. Looks really good, but will drop you a line with feedback at a later date Justin.
