Selling Social Media Profile With A Site

A post at Flippa that's a vast improvement over some previous ones, IMO.

Below I’ve outline some strategies around selling your social media profiles as part of your website sale on Flippa. I’ve included the 3 most (currently) popular social media services, so if there are others you want to transfer, make sure you check with the appropriate terms of service.
    Summary:
Facebook: You can't change the admin (though you can create a new user)
Twitter: You can sell a username as part of a business but not on its own
Youtube: Assumption is that you can sell

Are you aware of the rules for social media accounts elsewhere?

Have you sold a social media account with your site? Or acquired one when you bought another site?

    What about forum accounts?

I suppose I shouldn't be saying it here, but I've three Sitepoint accounts I acquired with websites I bought (though, I hasten to add, I don't use them).

That is a useful, well researched post. I'm glad to see that someone took the time to write an informative article there.

LOL, Luke. Looks like you're the better person to write these posts then

No, seriously, that's the kind of post that's more useful to the reader than to Flippa. I, for one, would welcome more of them and draw people's attention to these posts by mentioning them here (and elsewhere).
