Nice catch. Damn you, I was hoping to do some gardening this morning!
<added> I've read all his posts and did a bit of research on him. I like this guyI've dropped him a note with my phone number.

Hello, this is Christopher Avell from the website mentioned. It is nice to see a website like this where people can openly discuss and learn about buying and selling websites online. Kudos to Clinton on a worthy project!
I will try and check around here frequently. Though sometimes I get overwhelmingly busy and just become a forum lurker!
Thanks for the kind words -- right back at you!
Welcome Christopher, I liked your blog as well and I look forward to your participation here.
Cool blog - and welcome. Have any of the scammers you've called out contacted you? I like your post about the link directory guy. I can't believe that junk actually sells. It's sad.

Just for those who haven't been to christopher's site recently - he has been keeping his blog busy and very updated.
Some of his scam calls I don't understand. For example, he argues that it's possible for fake listings on Flippa and that this could possibly be Flippa's "model". And that doesn't make sense because it suggests Flippa pay themselves $20 per listing to make the marketplace look busy. But some of his others are good. Like this one about Nikus in Flippa
One of his recent posts this week talks about a message/blog comment received
I had that exact same comment on one of my blogs and suspected it might be spam. Then I saw it here and realised that it is indeed spam.hi nice little blog site you have hereI apply the very same web theme on my website yet for whichever odd factor it would seem to load faster on your site eventhough this blog has considerably more multimedia. Are you using any plug ins or widgets that speed it up?
These are the worst kind of spammers - the ones who come up with a plausible sounding comment, but which is actually a generic comment pasted just for the link. The chances are the guy never even read the blog post.
One of the funniest things I've seen is a certain blog which used vulgar language, like s***, f*** all the time in the blog postings, then a spam comment which said something like "Dear Sir, I think your eloquently written post explains clearly the need to express ourselves in a succint manner." the comment goes on like this. But it was clearly a spam comment because nobody writes such a formal, nice comment on a vulgar blog.
Oh my god, the spammers use better grammar then the blog writer!![]()
Actually, I do not make that scam call at all. That is a letter from someone else and I say at the end "As to your theories on Flippa. I think doubt they are collecting fees – from themselves. They may have some partners, etc who sell sites there but this is a marketplace. This is what it is all about." - I just posted what someone else has asked me and then I respond. It might be hard to see that their original post is an a quote box.
