escrow.com sign up for an account, its easy. So easy a caveman could do it I keep sayin that around here! HAHAHA. Seriously, get you an account over there. Makes life a lot easier for ALL types of transactions. I look at it like this: It is a common payment method used across multiple industires, therefore by having an account established there, it is just one more "door" for money to come through It just so happens that the Escrow "door" swings open easier than the GayPal one does

And yes, I do use Paypal, I just wanted an excuse to bash them.

@Imminentdomains You are a life saver! I'm going to check this out now. I have this website that i've checked in DP, I already contacted the owner but it seems he does not have the stats or details I was looking for, however I fell in love with the website that he is selling. I think through escrow I could be protected. If i'm 60% sure that i'm going to take the site then I would post it on the Buy website category for suggestions. thanks again man!

Well if it is a sale of more than 100 USD I would say, get proofs or move on. But if you are in love, how can I fight that? Escrow may be your solution to elope with this beautiful site. I only wish you two the best Sorry man, its early here HAHAHAHA.

Just joking with you of course!

Bear in mind though that Escrow will NOT protect you from getting scammed by traffic/revenue figures having been misrepresented. Escrow will only take care that you actually do get the site (or to be more specific, the domain - not even the site).

I have posted about this elsewhere a few days ago so not going to repeat myself but if you type "escrow" or "escrow.com" in the search box you'll find the article in no time.

Make sure BEFORE you list on Flippa you can’t be found in search engines, or you’ll have problems selling.

    ....

In true flipping arbitrage style, most of my flips are listed up on Flippa almost immediately. Once you get the hang of picking up great deals you can start selling sites at a very nice rate.

Any questions - feel free to ask

Okay, a little confusion here. How do you get the site off the search engines so quickly so you can flip them "immediately" or "right away"; or am I just totally missing something here?

What Thomas was talking about was probably looking for auctions that are not indexed by SE's - or at least won't come up on front page if you google the site's name/URL, not removing the auctions from search engines as this is indeed virtually impossible.

One thing you can do on DP, though, is ask the seller to delete the sales thread (or rather, the content of the thread as the thread itself can't be deleted). This way, if the auction is already indexed, Google will soon re-crawl it and it won't rank for "sensitive" keywords any longer - or if it isn't yet indexed then once it gets indexed it won't include the domain name of the site.

Not sure that is possible these days - DP seem to have a limited amount of time that you can edit the sales thread for. Unless I am missing something!

    Cracking thread btw people, thanks!

    Re: Site Flipping Tutorial

That was a good read, Bryan. Thank you! So it would seem DP is really popular as everyone makes it out to be - but the annoying thing is... I don't think I've ever found a site worth investing in or have I ever seen a site listed that isn't Turnkey or isn't earning revenue... which annoys me like hell!

I know what you mean when you say invest in something you feel you can add to... that way you know you've got a winner... but it's hard to find out whats behind closed doors when you're just looking at the front end. I mean, you mention "you do your checks" - what sort of checks do you carry out?

I always trust my judgement and I always go with my gut instinct, I just haven't found a site to date worth investing in - and my budget is around $500. I'm probably asking for too much for my budget (I'm looking for a revenue of at least $150 a month and receives organic traffic) - I feel like I keep hitting a brick wall... I haven't logged in on DP for over a week now because it just annoys the hell out of me
